The raffle is a fun event held to raise money for
scholarships for a few lucky students that attend our colleges and is also a
way for the IACCB to raise a little cash for the organization treasury.
How do we get the items for the raffle?
The raffle items are brought/donated to the conference by
you, the attendees.One of the
book or scientific sales reps may also graciously donate fabulous items to the
raffle as well.Some people chose
to bring something humorous, keeping in mind that it is so humorous people will
venture into buying lots of tickets to possess said crazy item.Others chose to bring something
appealing, such as an item, or package/basket of items, something that you
would like to win.Please try to bring at least one donation item for the
raffle to help student education and to add to organization’s
treasury fund to attract excellent speakers in the future.
Who can enter tickets to win items in the raffle?
Everyone can!Please try to participate in this fun event.The more people that participate, the more fun it is.And you will probably head home with
something awesome! Tickets are 6 for $5 or 15 for $10.
Whose students get the scholarship money?
This is determined by a raffle on Saturday.Everyone gets one entry for attending
the conference and an additional entry for every item donated to the raffle. If
your name is chosen on Saturday, then you get to choose your favorite student
as the recipient.Five scholarships
will be raffled this year.One
goes to the President and four for random raffle winners.
How much is each scholarship?
Each scholarship is $300.
What about any extra money we raise?
Any money raised beyond the scholarships will be added to the
IACCB treasury fund and used to attract future speakers.
